Com-Net Software announced today that it will add ECLIPSX® Digital Paging to the Amarillo International Airport’s existing ECLIPSX Multi-User Flight Information Display System (MUFIDS), resulting in a fully integrated audio-visual passenger communication system for the airport. “Amarillo has been a great customer of ours and we are pleased to be able to provide a state-of-the art communication tool that will enhance their passenger communication services,” commented Mark Schindler, vice president of sales/marketing with Com-Net. “The integrated system will include visual messaging and automated boarding sequences that will help improve processes in the airport.” As part of a terminal renovation project at Amarillo, the airport department will replace the existing public address system with Com-Net’s ECLIPSX Digital Paging solution. The airport also plans to expand visual communication to customers by installing additional flat panel displays. Overall, the renovation will include eight new paging stations, 15 new flat panel displays, and corresponding computer hardware. “We are excited to have a fully integrated solution with Com-Net’s ECLIPSX MUFIDS and Digital Paging because the functionality will increase exponentially,” stated Amarillo International Airport Manage Scott C. Carr, A.A.E. “This system will help streamline the boarding process for our carriers, saving them time, and providing a quicker turn-around time for flights.” The project is scheduled for completion by early 2011 and will be Com-Net Software’s second unified system installed in the state of Texas. |
