Com-Net Software, the leading provider of Passenger Communication Systems in North America announced today that it has completed the installation and final commissioning of Des Moines International Airport’s new state-of-the-art Passenger Communication System which includes ECLIPSX® Multi-User Flight Information Display System (MUFIDS) 5.0 and Digital Paging 2.0. The result is an industry showcase in integrated audio-visual communication. “Des Moines has been a good customer to work with. Des Moines has also worked with airlines to establish automated boarding sequences for all of the carriers that service the airport, a feature that has made a significant impact. “Our airlines are excited about the new boarding sequences and how they can use them to make certain that a consistent company message is delivered every time while boarding,” said Bill Konkol, chief aviation technical systems specialist for Des Moines International Airport. Des Moines’s ECLIPSX MUFIDS features LCD-TFT Displays, HP servers and Dell computers for visual flight information. The Digital Paging system features the highest quality audio products from industry-leaders Biamp® Systems for CobraNet®-enabled digital signal processing and QSC® Audio for the cleanest signal reproduction and power amplification. “The sound quality in our terminal was our first goal and Com-Net’s system clearly exceeded our expectations,” added Konkol.
